Can anyone identify this carb I bought for my 1969 427/390 4spd? In reading my restoration books I suspect it may be incorrect for judging. The number on the side is 29715 FH 3548. Thanks, Art Ives

Re: C3 Quadrajet Carb.
It looks like I have a typo. On the side of the carb it has 29215EH 3548. At the time I bought it the carb rebuilder told me that they didn't always put the 70 in front of the number. Me new at restorations, I have a tendency to trust vendors. Thanks Art- Top

Re: C3 Quadrajet Carb.
Pretty interesting.. the 201 IS a four speed carb though. I have the Rochester application list and specs I got from Lars Grimsrud. The two carbs are almost identical. My car is an October 69 car so my carb is a too early also. I do have reason to think it came on my car or was replaced very early in the cars life though. Lars said he had seen 201's on 69 Corvettes before that he knew were original. My car was fairly unmolested when I got it and mostly original and it just looked like everything had aged togeher. It is kind of a feel you get after owning Corvettes all of you life. Anyway the numbering method is consistant with yours.- Top
