    hi beam-lo beam

Went to check my headlights on my 72 BB coupe yesterday, and the low beams were fine, but when I stepped on the high beam switch the low beam on the passenger side went out. Any thoughts ? Thanks in advance, Ray

    Ray,
Replace the bulb with a new one.

      Ray,
When you switched from low to high beams and the low beam went out, it should, but the high beam filament should have lit up. Since it didn't, it is most likely broken and the only fix is to replace.

Ray, The low beams have 2 filaments, one of low and a brigher filament for high. Generally they don't burn out at the samr time causing a condition like you have.

Also make sure it's not just a bad connection. I had the same symptoms and changed the bulb to a tested known good one only to have the same thing happen. Once I sanded down the connections inside the wiring end both bulbs worked just fine. ~Juliet
