Does anyone know what the normal operating temp. should be on my 1982 Crossfire injection? Mine seems to run between 210-230. Does it make sense to put a lower stat in it? By the way, I do live in Naples Florida where the temp. has been 88-95F lately.

John, My 82 runs just over the 200 degree mark as I see it from the driver seat once it's warmed up. Temps here have been upper 80's to lower 90's. Hope this helps. -

Electric fans on the late models come on at 226 so if you are sitting in trafic its going to there no matter what thermostat you got. When the AC is called for it should activate the fans. Then it should stay around 200.Comment
