I have a 1971 454 with PS. To save me some trial and error, As far as the steering linkage, Do I only need to remove the entire Idler Arm and ????, My manual isn't to helpful in this area, and not with Power Steering, to gain enough clearence to remove the Oil Pan? Although I haven't tried it on my BB car, on SB's if you don't want to knock the joint apart, you can unbolt the 2 bolts on the idler arm and drop the entire idler arm down along with the relay rod, etc. That might also give you enough "wiggle room".
