    1961 rear strut rod bushings

I removed my old rear strut rod bushings and they had a steel sleeve in the center of the bushing, not on the outsdie of the bushing. The replacement bushings have a steel sleeve in the center of the bushing and on the outside of the bushing. Is this correct? Thanks, Joe DeLuca

Yes, the original bushings were vulcanized in place in the rods. SERVICE bushings have an outer steel shell to enable them to be field-installed.
