I have a 69 corvette that does not have an overflow tank. The car is the original 350/300 with an automatic. No A/C. The judging manual shows that I should have one but I have read numerous books where this particular setup should not have an overflow tank. I believe that the front is original and there are no holes (just dimples) where the overflow tank should be.
In the book 1969 Stingray Guidebook by John Bizzoco on the bottom of page 128 he states that a small block car with M40 should have a copper radiator (which I have), a plastic shroud (have that as well), and no expansion tank. My car fits that criteria but the NCRS book says otherwise.
I have read other books/magazines stating that that is the correct combination.
I would like to know if this is the correct combination or should I go with what NCRS has to say in their book.
Thanks for the help....
