    77 vacuum hose routing

Even with a fresh valve job, my 77 has an idle stumble that puzzles me. Although the L48 has all the vacuum operated engine components that the AIM shows, I noticed that the routing and connections of my vacuum hoses are different from what the AIM indicates - for instance, the exhaust manifold crossover valve control is connected to a carburetor vacuum source instead of the vacuum valve on the front of the intake. The engine is pulling 15 inches of vacuum - which should be plenty. Is it possible that the vacuum line arrangement is causing the problem? Can anyone vouch for the accuracy of the AIM routing? Thanks for any and all help. Steve

    Try www.DocRebuild.com/dr-r-web/3750365.html

I have found a few errors in the various 68-82 AIM vacuum routings but not for 77 L48 emissions - at least not yet. If this link pic says safeimage error, you may have to enter www.DocRebuild.com and then follow links to emission hoses, then to your specific year.
