Correct color/finish for C2 headlight motor cases?

    Correct color/finish for C2 headlight motor cases?

    I have looked at several photos of C2 headlight motors and cannot determine what color or finish the motor (winding) case should be. Some are flat/semi-gloss black and others appear to be a dichromate (yellowish) bare finish. My 1966 motor cases are just plain rusty looking. Could someone please enlighten me?

      Larry, 66 Judging Guide - encased in natural steel housing. Hope this helps.
