    Quick Steering Adaptor

The original owner of my 62 Big Brake sent me the Quick Steering Adaptor. It's got some light rust on it. I need to know the correct finish for the adaptor,nuts,washers,u-bolt and tapered bolts.

The QSA was installed at Detroit Gear and Axle (a GM establishment) when the front axle assembly was assembled. The entire assembly was supplied in medium gloss black.

I'd prime it with self etching, epoxy catalized, DP-90 (PPG) and then spray several very light applications of John Deere medium gloss black in the aerosol cans until you get a reasonably thin coat of black.
