'66 hood question

Hello,

My '66 roadster has an incorrect hood. I would like to find an NOS one to replace it but have had no luck finding one. Any ideas on the best places to look and what I should look for to make sure that it is really a GM hood. Is there another manufacturer that makes a hood that is indistinguishable from an original? My car is a late '66 with A/C and the hood support on the right side.

It should be very easy to find a good used one, and actually should be possible to find a NOS one. The NOS over the counter hood was supplied for many years after production ended. Many sources advertise in The Drive Line, Vette Vues, Hemmings, and other publications. If you go to Carlisle or one of the large shows there will be many to choose from.
