Just removed the old 1965 soft top from the frame, and whaddaya know--I found the header bow moderately rusted on its underside, with one perforation about the size of a dime. Can anyone recommend a product to close the hole (after the rust is sandblasted off, of course), and add some thickness to the thin spots. The area in question will be covered, and strength is not an issue, but I want something stronger than Bondo, like an epoxy based product. The severe corrosion is localized in an area approx. 2"x 6". I believe that this bow can be rescued, especially in light of the fact that a new piece sells for around $270 to $300. What can I expect to pay at Carlisle, assuming I can find one that is better than mine?
