    1972 BRAKES

HELP!-I RECENTLY LOST THE BRAKES ON MY 72 CONV. THERE IS NO APPARENT FLUID LEAKS AT THE WHEELS OR THE MASTER CYL. THE LINES ARE FAIRLY NEW AND THE HOSES ARE CLEAR. WHEN I BLEED THE FRONTS THERE IS NO PROBLEM, HOWEVER WHEN I BLEED THE REAR CALIPERS I CAN NOT GET FLUID TO THE BACK OF THE CAR. AFTER PUMPING UP THE BRAKES I DO NOT EVEN HEAR ANY AIR RUSH FROM THE VALVE. I REMOVED THE REAR LINE FROM THE DIST. BLOCK AND IT APPEARS TO BE O.K.(I CAN FEEL PRESSURE IF I PUT MY THUMB OVER IT) COULD IT BE PARTIALLY BLOCKED? ANY INPUT IS GREATLY APPRECIATED. THANKS-TONY PICARAZZI

You should go forward and check out the system from the MC. Check the pressure at the rear outlet, and on to the rear. You will then find where the blockage is. The MC may not be picking up the fluid, the plunger in the signal valve may be stuck to one side, a line may be pinched etc.
