    Convention weather

Forecast for Monterey, Friday through Wednesday, basically the same:

Partly cloudy with daytime highs near 70, nightime lows in the mid 50s.

Ten percent change of rain Friday through Sunday, so some tropical moisture might be in the area. I wouldn't bet on any rain, but morning fog or light drizzle is always a possibility.

Since the dewpoint is typically near the overnight low you can expect it to feel clammy after the sun goes down, so bring a sweater and a light jacket.

    Thanks!

It's oh-dawn-thirty in Denver and I was just packing 'Lil Red for this morning's National Road Tour start. I forgot about the Bay Area/August weather (Jack London freezing at times), we got HOT, DROUGHT, FOREST FIRE weather in the high country. I stuffed a UK Chapter long sleeved fleece jacket in the pack.

    On the road again.....

        Heck,..Tell me about it!!
I moved out of SFO city to the other side of the E.Bay.
Got fed up with driving in zero/zero weather with fog all day long and freezing mist at night!
Bring a parka for the beachfront walks when the sun sets!

          Obviously neither of you gentlemen

spent any time in the winter in northeastern North Dakota - 60 miles from
Canada - where we used to enjoy 3 week periods where the HIGH for the day was 0. The story was that some idiot in Winnipeg would clap his hands and by the time it got to North Dakota it was a 30 mph wind.

              I have....

Thirty-six months as a maintenance officer at Grand Forks AFB, but I managed to spend about six of those months TDY at Vandenberg setting up Minuteman missiles for test launches.

In GF when it got up over freezing in late March/early April we broke out the T-shirts and cutoffs.

Monterey will be great, especially if your car doesn't have C60.

                    Re: I have....

I spent a week in Grand Forks on a C5 Test trip a few years back and the HIGH for the week was -9, yes -9. Most of the time it was around -35, yes -35. It was so cold you could take a glass of water outside and throw it into the air and it would instantly turn to snow. Boy was it cold!!!!!!!!!
