    Cluster Lights

I just pulled the instrument cluster out of my C2, painted it and am ready to re-install. I wanted ro replace burned out bulbs, so I re-attached the ignition switch to check for burned out bulbs. To my dismay, only the "lights" bulb worked when I pulled out the light switch - no directionals or any other dash lights worked. No fuse is blown and the exterior flashers work. All worked fine prior to removal. I did pull the steering column back about a inch and a half so I could get added clearance for the unit removal.Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks !

I think that you have a grounding problem with the dash panel removed. Try establishing a temporary ground from the cluster plate to a "birdcage" member. You can use a length of wire with alligator clips on either end for this purpose.
