    Paint Help C3=1972

    I recently had my '72 louvers rechromed but they were not able to do the inside of them. I have seen many of them painted the color of the car. My louvers are pitted pretty bad in the middle so I tried using a heavy primer to fill the pits, but it will not stick. They were cleaned and sanded before the primer was applied. I thought it might be something to do with the rechroming causing this. Does anyone know a good technique or special supplies to get paint to stick to them? Thanks for any help!

    Sand & use acid etching primer , sand & mask them yourself & take them to a good body shop and pay to have them primed its cheaper than buying the materials .

      I haven't used them, but I think there are specialty primer paints that are designed to adhere to chrome & other similar sufaces. Use this url for an example:
