    C-2 headlight warning light

Something has to be wrong. With my buckets open everything is o.k. The second I turn on my lights the dash warning light comes on.I suppose this is telling me there is something wrong. However if I close the buckets and leave the lights on the warning light goes off. When the buckets are open they seem to look even and correct.Any ideas to correct this problem would be appreciated

    Bob,

With the buckets in the up/open position and the headlights OFF, the tell-tale lamp should be OFF. When you turn on the lights, assuming the buckets ARE open and the limit switches are working properly, the tell-tale lamp should stay OFF. Closing the buckets with the lights ON should turn the tell-tale lamp ON.

I would start with the two limit switches on the motors. I would take each on off and check it with an Ohm meter. It should read infinity, with the button depressed or zero with the button depressed.

If the switches are good, then trace the wires back to the light switch on the dash. I think the wire from the dash switch to the tell-tale lamp is light blue in color and 18 Ga. There is also a 14 Ga. Light blue wire from the same contact point that goes to the dimmer switch for imlluminating either set of headlamps.
