    Midyear Gas Pedal Throttle Lever...

The rod that goes through the firewall, was it painted black or was it natural? Thanks, Patrick

    Patrick:

The rod, and its mount sleeve are not painted (installed after blackout). The rod is black phosphate, and the sleeve and mount bolts are cad/zinc plated.

            Patrick,
The 1966 Corvette tech info manual states the accelerator rod (the S shaped rod) and the sleeve which attaches to the firewall is cadmium or zinc plated for small blocks.
