    65 Speedo Cable Routing

I have a 65 coupe 4 speed small block and not sure which way the sppedo cable is routed back to the tranny. The AIM is a bit unclear. It appears it comes out of the double grommet shared with te tach cable and then accroos the top of the tranny to the right side and then through a clip on the underside of the floorboards and back to the tranny. Is this correct or is there a different way.
    Thanks in advance.

    Sheldon:

I routed the cable for my 1965 327/365 non A/C roadster (after MUCH de-ciphering of the AIM) out of the grommet, then to the right of the firewall to a clip just left of the heater box, then down to a clip on the forward right side of the trans tunnel, then back to the transmission.
If your car has A/C, there is a slight difference in the location of the firewall clip-- look in your AIM in the A/C option section. I THINK you will find some info there-- I remember clip locations appearing in no fewer than 5 or 6 different locations.
