67 a/c compressor pulley size??

OK all you a/c experts....

What size is the pulley supposed to be on the 67 cars, and does it vary depending on the model? I know some of the 64/65 high perf cars had larger pulleys. Did this carry through to the 66's and 67's? I specifically need to know for the 327/350 and the 427/400 engines. Thanks!

ALL 1964 through 1968 Corvettes used the same A/C compressor pulley. It was GM #5914745 and it's complete with the bearing assembly. Its diameter is 5-9/16" and you can still purchase one from GM and confirm this for yourself. However, be advised that it GM lists for $164.43.

Brandon - The pulley diameter for the '67 C-60 AC compressor is 5-1/2 inches and it was the same for all Frigidaie A-6 Model 5910645 compressors. Pete

So Pete....Joe lists a different part and diameter....can we get to the bottom of the difference? I should go measure my 67, but, it may not have the original pump....one of the few things to insure is correct....Craig

Craig - I measured the one on my car while it's on the car and came up with 5-1/2 inches in diameter and Joe gave a diameter of 5-9/16 inches. I figure Joe's dimension came from a GM specification so I'd go with Joe's dimension. The part number I mentioned is for the Frigidaire A6 compressor assembly compressor assembly used on the 1967 Corvette C60 system. The compressor assembly as received at the assembly plant included pulley. Joe gave the part number for the pulley. Pete
