I need some help as to how to make a repair to a 67 small block rad fan shroud, which for judging purposes needs to be natural as opposed to the big block fan shrouds that were painted. What can I add to the fiberglass resin to give it this grey / black appearance. Like possibly adding graphite powder. The repair is a small one but is on the top side and in a noticable area. Any suggestions as how to help mask this repair and make the appearance look 100% natural will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Re: grey / black fiberglass (67 sb fan shroud)
I bought some color additive (black) from a marine supply store. You need to add a bunch of it AFTER you catalyze the resin. It is a lot better than the yellow/ green color of most resins, but still not quite a perfect match. You can use this stuff and then dust some paint on after you repair and sand down.- Top
