    Turbo 400 trans cooler lines

On the Turbo 400 for my Dad's 72 project, which line at the transmission is "in", and which is "out"? I assume the lower one is out, the upper in, but is this correct? And is it lower in/upper out for the radiator? I ask because I am putting the car back together, and am adding an auxiliary cooler that was on the car when we bought it, but want to know that I have it plumbed correctly.

    Thanks!

    Pat,

I don't ahve this info at hand, but a check of the Assembly Instruction Manual (AIM) should tell you how the cooling pipes were run. There is a book about TurboHydro 400 published by HP books that has the in out answer, but I don't have it here at work. I am not sure it makes a lot of difference which one is in or out anyway, unless you are installing an auxilary cooler. Then HP Books is the place to look - they have a whole section about aux coolers. If someone else doesn't have the answer by next week I'll try to look it up. I will be away for that long.

      Thanks Terry.

I know which connects to which on the trans end, and found which is allegedly in/out on the raiator end, but am most interested in the in/out on the trans end to help hook up the cooler.

      Thanks for the HP tip.
