Steve the numbers are hard to see without removing the pump. On the rear of the pump which is cast iron the last two numbers of a sequence was 49 right after the end of these two numbers was a casting mark followed by what looked like 303 and another casting mark. The 303 mumbers are about half the size of the 49 numbers. Know this is not much help. I replaced the diverter valve back in 73 because the end of it came out of the original diverter valve casting. I seem to remember something about buying it from GM and the parts man saying that the original part number was not available, that was a long time ago.
