67 Electical Gremlins Solved

Hi all,

Well, I finally got a chance to remove the aternator and regulator from my 67 L79 and had them tested. The alternator had below rated output, but the real culprit was the voltage regulator, it had the short. So I replaced both with new (lifetime warranties fom AutoZone) fo $45. And I still have the original functioning units boxed and in the garage for when I should ever decide to have it judged.

on, I just got back from the Asheville Regional and the Pirkles gave a great seminar on voltage regulators. You will be hard pressed to find someone who does alternators and voltage regulators better than them.
