    '64 365hp Holley choke type?

What is the proper type of choke mechanism for this carb and application? The car is a 4-spd with A/C if that makes a difference. Right now it appears to be wired for an electric choke, but it looks a little 'home-made'. thanks
    Verne.

    Verne-----

It never originally was equipped with an electric choke. This application used the integral style choke (round Bakelite cover on right side of carburetor) with an heat tube.

Well, that just shows my ignorance of Holleys and Vettes. My area of expertise is in the full sized cars, and I am very familiar with the hot air type chokes on AFBs, etc., but never thought a Holley was ever equipped with one. I'm sure the repro stuff must be available. I did see the choke tube in the manifold, but figured that manifold was used whether the tube was hooked up or not.
        Thanks for the info.

Holley carburetors used on Corvettes during the 64 and 65 model years were equipped with the integral-style choke. The use of a divorced-style choke (i.e. manifold mounted thermostatic coil and connecting rod) did not begin until the 1966 model year. Holley carburetors were last used on a Corvette in the 1972 model year for LT-1 engines. No Holley carb ever used on a Corvette utilized an electric choke.
