Is there anything one can do about tiny stress fractures in lacquer paint without having to paint the entire vehicle?

I will send you more info by e-mail but to give you a quick responce to your question the answer is not one you want to hear. If one area is starting to crack then it will not be much longer before the rest does. It is also an indication the finish is breaking down and under stress. Application of fresh solvents over the top of an unstable finish could spell disaster. Sorry but its time to start researching shops so you can get ready to repaint. If you only have one or two isolated areas you may buy yourself a year or two with a spot repair. It will be a tricky repair blending over a stressed finish.
