69 TriPower 400HP Auto/PS No A/C Coupe

Help - I have researched & looked at various pictures of similar cars but I still can't figure out if I should have an aluminum expansion tank on my cooling system or not.

ALL 1969 Corvette big blocks used an external radiator supply tank. NO exceptions. All big blocks, except L-88, used radiator GM #3019190 which requires an external supply tank. For all big block applications WITHOUT A/C, this tank was an aluminum tank of GM #3016340. For applications WITH A/C, it was a brass tank of GM #3019249. L-88s used aluminum radiator GM #3007436 with the 3016340 aluminum supply tank.
