    L89 Head Bolt Leak

In preparation to test run the L89 I added distilled water to the DeWitt radiator
Right side water leak, behind the exhaust manifold.but above the head gasket. Removed the manifold, $5 head bolt dripping, drain system, clean sealant from bolt and hole. Swabbed liberally with Permatex 8053 sealant for threads, reinstall. torque to 70 ft. lbs. Filled with water, leak is worse than before, all other bolts are dry.
Is there a sealant that may be better suited to this application.
This engine has fought me every day for the last ten and I am really getting frustrated.....HELP PLEASE
    Thanks for any assistance

Jerry: I always used Indian Head for this application (on threads and under bolt head). Don't know if it is still available or maybe goes by a different name but in same little brown jar... -Karl
