    differential ratio

    Hey club members;
    Don't want to be a nuisance, but I have to follow up on the same question
    that I asked about 4 weeks ago. I'm am trying to identify the ratio of my
    '70 L46. A couple of kind respondants tipped me off on codes, thank you,
    but now that the car is out of storage, I'm having trouble finding it.
    On the pass.side just above the cast horizontal "webbing" in the middle
    of the case I can clearly see GM. On the driver side in the same area I
    found the code: A210, which I assume means it was cast Jan.21,1970. Where
    exactly should I find the 3 letter code designating the original gears?
    Thank you again for any clues, Tim

    Re: differential ratio

    The gear ratio is found on the bottom of the differential casing next to the rear cover. It will be a three-letter designation that starts with a "c" for all '70 corvettes eg. "CAO" = 3.70 w/ positraction.
