Re: I would check the choke heat tube.

Do a pressure test of the choke clean air circuit from the inlet to the outlet of the tube where it enters the choke housing. If it won't hold pressure the internal tube in the manifold might be rusted out.

Yipes, I just have a hole in the exhaust manifold, no tube inside it. The choke tube is just inserted into the manifold. Don't see any steel tube inside the exhaust manifold.
