    Radiator Restoration

I need my 66 radiator repaired/restored. The outer tanks are good, but the core has been damaged by the fan when it was in an accident. Any suggestions appreciated.

    Thanks

You likley need to see DeWitts for a reoroduction replacement. Neither the center core nor the technology to bond it to the end tanks is available in the "repair" market

Is this the same for a 66 427/390 radiator?

        Thanks - Joe

427/390 is a copper radiator and thus can be recored. My answere Assumed a smallblock (you know what that means...)

                Joe -

I understand DeWitt's now has correct cores and brackets to re-core copper/brass BB radiators, but not the complete radiator (yet).

                    Bill, Thanks for the info.
It's a 425/427 car. I should have stated that in my first post. I have not investigated DeWitts yet, but will talk with them. I was curious on which way to go because I saw a restored radiator on ebay that was completely restored and it went for 1500.00. WOW!! I was hoping having a core the overall cost would be less.

You are correct, I do have replacement copper cores for the BB. I just don't know how you found this out. I haven't told but a hand full of people. I posted it today, don't know if thats a no no or not. td
