I have a 69, L36 with power brakes. The L/H valve cover does NOT have a slanted corner by the booster and appears to be the original cover (it is in need of re-chroming). I never see any L/H covers listed without the slanted corner. I don't think I am supposed to have a slanted cover but some people say I am.. ??? Thanks

Primarily, the rear "slanted corner" left side valve cover was a mid-year feature. However, I think it was used on some early 68s. Your 1969 never used it, though. 69s used a left side cover with 60 degree, or so, slope to the entire rear of the cover. If you look at the front of the cover and the rear of the cover you will note the difference in angle. Most non-Corvette big block valve covers used front and rear surfaces which were the same configuration. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
