I have exhaust manifolds for big block with weak threads in some of the injector tube holes.They will hold the fittings but are on the edge of being stripped out.Is there a repair procedure for this problem,or a company that does this?Is there a way to helicoil repair these?Thanks,Craig

These fittings are a pipe thread, but no prob, heli coils are available. Take your AIR pipes to a local car quest. They can order any helicoil in any thread out there

the threads are pipe threads,but they are "straight" pipe not "tapered" pipe as you will find to be the most common. they are the same type thread as used on brake lines.

You'll find that they are exactly the same as conventional 1/2"-20 threads, although technically they're "straight pipe threads".
