I just finished changing two tail light socket plugs on the passenger side only. The old socket plugs were loose in the tail light housing and the lights would go off on bumpy roads. When I took them out and compared them with the two new ones from LICS it was evident that the old plastic socket plugs had lost the nub on one side of the plug which resulted in the plug not being securly held in the socket.
Well, now with the new plugs attached and installed snugly in the sockets the outboard light is brighter than the other three. Obviously the outer, for some unknown reason, has the brake light on at all times, not just when the brake is applied. I'm hoping this has something to do with a ground problem. I really do not want to take the harness apart again. Any suggestions on what to try. Thanks.
