    65 gas tank straps

    Are the gas tank straps suppose to have anti squeak material between them and the tank? I do not see it called out in the AIM. I have installed that anti squeak under the tank, front and rear, but was told that the straps need it too. The vendors sell the stuff for the straps. What is correct?
