Hello, i own a 82 collectors Edition..I have been searching for a striping kit for months. I havn't come across one yet! Does anyone have an idea where I can acquire one of these kits? Thanks in advance,

I just inquired this morning about this, as I was looking at a coll ed car, and the original manufacturer for GM just started producing the decals again. Only catch: 1500 bucks. I don't think I'll be buying that car now!! Good luck.

I'm glad to hear that the decals are being reproduced. Although I have no personal need for them, I've responded to many questions regarding them. It seems that a lot of folks have looked long and hard for them. That's quite understandable in that, 17 years after the car's manufacture, a lot of the originals have deteriorated by now or the cars re-painted. These decals have been discontinued from GM for quite some time. If the original manufacturer is reproducing them as you say, the quality should be quite good.
Actually, $1,500 is not so out of line. As far as I know, GM never sold a complete decal kit, just individual "pieces" which were not inexpensive even when available from GM. There were 37 different part numbers required to stripe 1 complete car. I'd list these numbers, but it would be too extensive a listing and description for this board, as well as more typing than I want to do.In Appreciation of John HinckleyComment
