antenna cable lengths

I have come across fixed antenna kits labelled 1969-1982,only to find out the hard way that the cable length is short about 4 feet for my 1970.
I ended up attaching a Radio Shack extension and hiding it beneath the cluster.
I heard that post-75 was a shorter lead than pre-75.
Can anyone clarify this?

Well let's see.... The Paragon catalog lists one lead-in cable PN for '68 at 160 inches, a second for '69-75E at 177 inches, and a third for '75L-82 at 129 inches. What was your question again?

Well,Jack..You did it again.
My wife says she'll settle for the 177 inches...and I think my '70 will too!
It's just amazing how different supplier catalogues vary with depth of info.
