Who has bought a REPRO Side Exh Aluminum Cover> *NM*

I just want to hear about ALL the various repro's of this 65-67 decorative trim. There is so much discussion about this one's repro and that one's repro - I am simply trying to locate ANY source that is ACTUALLY selling a REPRO of the cover.

Are any real REPRO's out there?

I must be missing something that there are no other responses. Either that or only purists use the board. Is the definition of "repro" as used on this board an "exactly correct repro" as oppossed to a replacement that may have deviations from the original?

I purchased mine as a complete side exhaust package from Corvette Central last year. I ordered in March, and wanted to pick them up at Carlisle. I did not get them until August. The story I got was that the cover manufacturer was having problems with the manufacturing process, and the covers were no where to be had. This was the same story I got from another parts supplier whom I personally know - he wouldn't take my order because he knew he couldn't deliver on time and had no idea when they would release them again. As far as quality, I have not installed the system yet, so I can't speak to fit. Appearance-wise, they look good to me - no apparant flaws that I can tell in the aluminum. As far as correctness, I don't know. I'd have to match them with a set of originals. The covers seem to match the description in the 1966 Judging Manual (Exterior Section 16) in that they are bright aluminum with the depressions painted satin aluminum and the semigloss black insulator visible through the slots. Perhaps someone with more experience than me can lend some info on correctness. If you have some specifics I can check or email you some pictures.
