Ecklers Side Exhaust Covers

Ecklers is advertising side exhaust covers for 1965-1967 that are made from original GM tooling. Would these covers be the most correct of those currently available other than NOS or is there another vendor I should consider?

Eckler is the only one making these now, so anyone you buy them from got them thru Ecklers. The covers are almost exactly like the original ones. The only difference I could see was the glue used to hold the heat shield inside was not the same color. The new ones have glue that looks yellowish, while the originals had gray looking glue. I doubt you could see the difference once the covers are mounted.

I believe that Paragon also manufactures side exhaust shielding for midyears.

I could be wrong, but I believe that Paragon is getting them wholesaled thru Ecklers. The timing of the reproductions was just way too coincidental.

I was told by a well know Corvette supplier that Eckler's cover's are being made by the very same company that made them for Gm.

I made a few phone call's today and no one has repro. 63-67 side cover's. It was told to me that Eckler's was having them made, but I called them and they no nothing about that. Any one else have any info. john
