I am replacing the moldings on my 57 . Some moldings I found NOS and the rest, including the T bolts, I bought thru the friendly Chevy dealer . The parts guy sold me 6 flat clips with the ends curved to be held on with screws.I'm not sure where these go ,nor did the parts guy. He assured me they were part of the fastening kit . The old moldings didn't have these. Do I need them ? Any input appriciated. Thanks to those who commented on the hardtop color. I,m going to paint it white. Dana

Re: 57 cove moldings
Dana, These "S" shaped clips go where ever you cannot back up the "T"clip with a nut. Mine used the "S" clips on the ends of the top and bottom long spears where they meet the door. The screw holes are about 1" -1 1/2" in from the door gap. I believe my car uses a total of 4 clips. Use caution when snapping the spear over these "S" clips. The clip must face only one way, if the clip is reversed it will dent the spear (been there done that). I cannot quickly locate my notes as to which way they face. I recall the screws being somewhat special using a low profile head.- Top
