Goodyear Tires

Hate to beat this to death, but has anyone had good/bad luck with Goodyear Eagle GT 2 tires? Looking to replace the originals on my 82. Is there a better tire??? (P255/60 R15)

Hi Rich,
I have them on my 1977 and have no problems with them. I only have 4500 miles on them but they are great. I highly recommend them.

If you haven't done it, check out Tirerack.com. They collect reviews of tires from their customers. Very intersting, as you can sort by type of driving style,etc. They also have technical reviews and tire specs. Their web site is a very good source of tire information, even if you don't buy from them.

I have had them on other cars and tried other tires but went back to them because of the difference in performance and feel. They lasted almost exacltly 22,000 miles driven hard or easy.

Thanks for all the help on this. I just ordered 4 Goodyear Eagle GT 2's from the tirerack on-line. They had the best price by far. $338.00 delivered, no tax!

Rich,

I think you'll be please with them. we have had 225-70s on our '78 for three years now (we went down in size from 255-60s because the car was bought as an all-season 'driver', and the 225s are GREAT in snow). Good luck with them!
