Contents of Glove Box - 65

I am readying my 65 for judging. What would the contents of the glove box be that an NCRS/Bloomington would be looking for?

Chris, You would have the following pieces;

1. Plastic Envelope, part number 383495?, no key outline on front

2. Owners Manual, First or second edition(second edition dated Dec. 64)

3. Chevrolet owner Protection plan w/ protecto-plate

4. White Chevrolet Corvette radio Instruction Booklet.

5. Pocket Guide to AM/FM radio booklet.

Plus hardtop wrench & chewsting bag, if a 2-topper. Then, there's the subtle differences between NCRS (as it left the factory with then-current dealer prep) and Bloomington (basically as it left the factory). NCCB would be looking for a few other items like the paper key envelope, Etc.

The best place for a full description of items is in the Long Island catalog. BTW, my '65 L78 had some other items not called out....that included a 396 errata sheet and an 8x10 order sheet for misc support literature not mentioned in the 1st edition of the owner's manual. I think LI has discovered one or more of these and now has reproduction pieces in the catalog....

Jack, Is the key envelope correct for 1965? It was my understanding that it started in 66 or 67.

If you have KO's a Quick Take-Off Wheel inst. card, Don't forget the Keys and knock-outs. Not sure if you need two sets for 65 or not. you do for Sharks.

In some years, yes. Such IS recorded in the appropriate NCRS Judging Guide books available from your 'sponsor' at the 'STORE' pull down on this web site!
