Re: '67 Seats....
Unfortunately, Chevy never put the seats in its parts manual so you can't check part numbers there (they just have a note saying you can order them through a dealer, but only for the current year car). My recollection is that they are interchangeable, and in fact it's a good idea to switch them as soon as signs of wear appear on the driver's seat, in order to get more life out of them before re-upholstery.... I seem to recollect doing just that on a '63 I owned many years ago (but that was before the advent of seat-back safety latches on the outer side, I don't know if '67 seats had those locks).- Top

Re: '67 Seats....
Patrick - In my '67, over the years and because of normal wear and tear, I switched the driver's and passenger's seats for exactly the reasons stated by someone in this thread. The drivers side started to 'split' in the middle, and I simply switched seats. No problem, fit perfectly in either side. And also true, the latch is on the left side for both.
Which prompts me to ask this question: What can anyone recommend for repair? Either a home-remedy or some professional shop?
Thanks.

Re: '67 Seats....
In past threads on a '65 interior, there was a discussion on slits in the carpet to hide the floor mount bolts. Are they supposed to be ther on a 67?
Does the seat back release actuate in the same direction for both sides? In mine, one is operated by pushing forward and the other is by pushing rearward. Which way is correct? All help is always appreciated.

Re: '67 Seats....
Tom, I had a similar problem with the original driver side seat cover on my '67. It had a split at the seam on the seat bottom. I prolonged its life by taking the seat bottom to a trim shop where they removed the cover and installed a blind stitch. In other words, they took up the material slightly but enough to make a new stitch. Once it was back in the car, it was unnoticable unless pointed out. That was a few years ago and the car received Top Flight with its original interior. It wasn't until this past year that I finally replaced the factory installed covers. Good luck. Jim # 2978- Top
