    Oil pan clearance

Is there sufficient room in BB C2s to remove the oil pan without engine removal? Obviously one has to remove the motor mount through bolts, raise the engine and insert supports. I've done this on other cars in the past, but never a Corvette. Has anyone used this approach successfully?

Figured it was better to ask before I went through it all only to find out that there's no space.

    Thanks for the help.

    Re: Oil pan clearance

I removed the pan on a 66 BB. I beleive the only thing I did as far as removing was the exhaust, the starter, and droping the steering by taking the idler arm loose from the frame. Any correction's any one? john
