I hope to lift the body from my 1965 Roadster with-in the next few weeks. Has anyone used the body lift straps? Did they cause any damage? What is the weight of the body? Is there any other helpful hints that I should be aware of?

Re: 1965 Body Lift
I used straps to lift the body on my '67. I had the doors off of the car so I welded up some metal extrusion to take their place, which bolted to the door hinge area and where the latch goes to keep things from flexing. Once I started lifting, the rear end of the body started drooping, I found the "tunnel" area cracked where it meets the storage compartments. This area provides a lot of strenth. I would look for that. Paragon offers a booklet for $5 which outlines repair of this area.- Top

Re: 1965 Body Lift
I used 8 people to take the body off my 63, with 6 actually lifting (2 were backups) and had no problems. It was pretty easy and the cost of pizza for lunch was cheaper than the lifting straps....just my 2 cents.- Top
