Differential question

I just had my 68 diff cleaned up. When I went to look at it the side yoks were in alignment. I thougt they had to be at 90 degrees to each other. The rebuilder stated that if the yokes were set at 90 degrees, the position would eventually change when the car turns a corner so it wouldn't matter were the yokes are set. Is this true?
