Re: 66, 427-400?
Allan, I don't have the "Birthday Book", but it would have been built around the end of 2nd week in November, on Friday 12th. Maybe someone with the "Birthday Book" can pinpoint it a little closer. Hope this helps. Dave- Top

Re: 66, 427-400?
Are we talking of the change to '67 Model 400hp motors, or 1966 Corvettes with 400hp Tri-Power induction systems? I was surprised to see the post about the documented '66 Coupe w/400hp rating. Never thought there was one. On the '67 model change to Tri Power, wern't they produced in early Sept of '66?

Re: 66, 427-400?
Dave,
------In the same way early 427 solid lifter 66 engines were rated 450 instead of 425,390 hp engines were rated 400hp.The derating of both happened app.the same time, although there seems to be some confusion as to when that exactly happened.I had a 400 horse AC car with a window sticker many years ago so I know they existed!...........Bill S- Top
