69 Speedo Needle Shaft

The speedo needle shaft tip is broken. Does anyone know where I can get the shaft ? with the drum like piece attached since it looks like it would be difficult to replace just the shaft? Also, can the tach shaft and drum be used? They look to be the same.

Look in your local yellow pages for a United Delco/AC Delco speedometer shop. Last I checked the speedo/tach needles were GM discontinued, but NOS inventory was available through my local Delco Speedo shop. As far as broken speedo head, assy can be repaired with 'guts' of other instruments these shops typically have on hand. When the needle and, in your case the speedo head, is removed and re-installed the instrument needs to be recalibrated so you're in the right place for a package deal (repair and re-cal).
