5.5 inch wheels

Any one out there know the method for reproducing 5.5 inch wheels. I seem to recall that someone in NCRS had made a set of 5.5 inch wheels, using multiple 5 inch wheels from various cars. These wheels were used on a solid axle car.

I, and others, are curious about how it was done.

Also, are 5.5 inch wheels welded or riveted?

There is a company called Wheel Vintiques who reproduce corvette rally's in unusual sizes to order, they may be able to help and produce a custom wheel for you. They advertise in Hemmings. Their telephone # 209-251-6957. They are based in CA.
