Yes - depends on when your 1971 was built. The serial number range is in the 1970-1972 Technical Information Manual and Judging Guide available from the main page here.

Jeff,
According to my 70-72 Judging Manual, the 5 port washer pump was used on all 70 models and on 71 models to "at least s/n 12,605".
