    1966 Wiring harness

Could somebody out there tell me how the two semi circular wiring connecters under the dash are attached to the car? I can't make heads or tails of the attaching point from the assembly manual diagrams. I have had this dash out three or four times and have everything else right but these two connecters hanging down in front of the brake & clutch pedals. Thanks for your time, Pete Johnston

Pete, the '66 assy manual is unclear because it still shows the '63 configuration, not the 64-up. ( at least the one I have is that way) The '67 assy manual is more clear. each of the connectors should have a metal clip attached to it. If the metal clip has a wide flange on it with two barbs facing down toward the connector, then it is designed to fit onto the flat area of the pedal bracket. If the clip has a narrow arm on top with out a barb, then it fits into a hole in the steering column.
